(i take no credit for the photo above, and only the photo above this.)February 3rd 2010. Big Night Out 2010.
Amazing amazing amazing show despite some con's here and there, like the long line, the long time it took to enter the stadium. The fact that Saosin started exactly at 7 instead of being rockstars. Those bitches. The stupid idiots who smoked in between sets. The fact that merch sold out after. The too whole Pen A moshing during Rise Against. And lastly, the dead crowd during Saosin. Bloody hell, WALL OF DEATH people. WALL OF DEATH. He asked you guys to mosh and none at all parted. Then after Saosin, people decided to mosh, BEFORE RA. = =
BUT MUSE WAS AMAZING. And that's all that matters. So, after school, rushed to get ready, eat, then off to Kallang. The line for the merch booth at the north/east entrance was insanely LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOONG.
Me & Kak.Anis rushed to the West entrence (PEN A BAYBEH), and the queue was already super long. Queued/lined up/sat behind two guys who kept smoking. I swear to the deers, i am going to get lung cancer from all this secondhand smoking. EEEEEEURGH. Waited waited, i was bored and kept singing stupid songs. hheeeheee. It was like, wait wait, stand up, "OH! WE CAN ENTER, FINALLY!" then, ohshi-., -sit down-. We only entered past 7. What the absolute fckery. They did a whole full body check all that. Anyway, cousin and i rushed into the pen. Saosin(second picture) were already playing. The crowd was rather dead. Can't blame them, i overheard a couple of people saying Saosin wasn't their type of music, "kinda emo". But i thought Sao had more fans than RA, but you know you know. Cove requested for Wall Of Death right before their set ended, and i think only a few people moved. Saddening. I was one of the few people shouting for them. I rather liked the people we stood behind of, they were nice and kinda tried to make sure i could see past their shoulders, apologized for stuff. It was nice. Haha.
Before Rise Against came on, some guy was smoking and the people i was around, and me, and cousin, were all angry and telling them to stop. Ensue the lulz. Then, the lights were off again, and RA came on. Then people started moshing. Even the people who didn't wanted to was kinda pulled into the pit, somehow moved further back and to the right. Then okay, there were a heck loads of pushing, jumping, etc. Its kinda like, if you didnt jump, you'd get trampled on. Saaaaaaad stuff. Anyway, then moshed, cannot breath, died a little, Tired. You know. Then RA came out with two acoustics, and the final song was partial electric, and they moshed again during the last song.
Then lights back on. People started chanting, " We want MUSE ", including i. My shoelaces came off during RA, i tied it back, but it came out loose again. People lost their shoes btw. Haha. Anyway, then a couple more chilling, waiting, the security passed around water, and i think one of the cups was like, tinged with alcohol or something. Idk, might be wrong. But i didnt get to drink anything before MUSE. Was damned dehydrated. Then lights dimmed. THENNNNNNN, they came out, and i had the perfect view of Dom. I have a lot of pictures of Dom. hahaha. Anyway, they played Uprising first off. Crowd went insane. WHOOOOO. Kept playing, they didnt really talk much, but i dont really think they do socializing during their shoes that much, their music do all the talking. I was totally into it, rocking out even though i was hella tired. The older songs, especially the one's from Absolution were crowdpleasers, definitely. They didn't play Butterflies & Hurricanes though. Kinda disappointed. But its fine. When Matt started playing the piano, i was like, "VAVAVOOOOOM. AWESOME." Seriously, he was amazing on the piano. When he started playing United States of Eurasia, i nearly jizzed (jk.), that song is amazing. Anyway, when they played Undisclosed Desires, i went insane. Undisclosed Desires is sex in song form maaaaaaaaan, (figure of speech). Plus, they had the green lasers. THE GREEN LASERS. OMG. They promised singapore the green lasers 3 years ago, and they actually brought it. Awesome huh? Plus they had big rubber balls thrown around the pen A and B with confetti in it. Awesome fizz.
Here is setlist:

Setlist was awesome even though they didnt play some of the other songs i wished they played. But it was awesome nonetheless. Then Dom+Chris played Helsinki Jam and i was like, FYEAAAAAAAAAAAAAH. Dom is one of the best drummers, ever. And he is so cute. :3 Seriously, compared to Matt. I think people of fangirl over Matt because he is an awesome musician and has a sexy voice. And that is totally worth fangirling over, plsty. Chris is an awesome bassist too jsyk. Sucks, i didnt get to see their cute camera guy. :\ Hoohooohooohaaaa.
Then after the show, no merch. :(
Then headed home.
All in all, i'm very thrilled to have been able to watch MUSE live. Very thrilled to have watched the best live band of the decade. I dont mind not going to Paramore/Florence now.
