The past 3 days has been... absolutely amazing. Really, words cannot describe how it really made us campers feel. Red Camp 8 has so far, definitely been one of the most amazing experiences i've had, EVER. I didn't really take photos so here's a photo from one of the SL's, Zephyr's, instagram. Taken on the final day of Red Camp, the peak of the whole thing. All the ninjas were united as one, cheering for the SL's, being loud and hyper together. It was amazing, for lack of better word.
Let's start off by saying, i was initially skeptical. I heard lots of kids from my school (that i dont really... erm... click with) were going. So i was expecting the whole thing to be a trainwreck. First day, all the Kranjians wanted to stick together, and so, we got group 10. IT turned out to be ah mazing. The whole group bonded with our SL's, Keane, Shernne and YQ. The 2nd day was awesome but the 3rd day was the best. It's really difficult to explain it. It's like we spent the last 3 days slowly becoming a family and by the third day, nobody wanted it to end. It was most touching when we saw many our Ninja SL's cry, especially Keane. The Year 3's were crying the most and really, i suppose that was what touched our hearts the most. Seeing how much this camp had created an impact on their lives. Each time they recovered and we started cheering again, they'd just end up tearing up again. Urgh, i really have no idea how to describe it. The feelings we felt. And the final concert was amazing. Shouting for West Grand Boulevard and Jack & Rai by myself was fun. WGB were so good, the rest of the kids don't know what they're missing. When it all finally ended, it was like, nobody wanted to leave. We stuck around, hugging and cheering. As we left, all the Ninjas cheered our cheers together. Then when we got into a big group with the rest of the tribes of red camp, all of us started to do all the different cheers together. It was like we all knew each other, partying and cheering at the busstop.
Sigh i really dont know how to write it all out. I really cant wait for Open house, or the next Ninja gathering. Cheer till we go death again. Laugh till our cheeks hurt again. :')
